How to Cancel Every Streaming Trial

Step-by-step cancellation instructions for every major streaming service, so you never get charged by mistake.

Important: Where did you sign up?

If you subscribed through a streaming service's own website, cancel through their website. If you subscribed through Apple (iPhone/iPad), cancel via Settings, then Your Name, then Subscriptions. If you subscribed through Google Play, cancel via the Google Play Store, then Subscriptions tab. Cancelling in the wrong place will not stop charges.

Disney+

Cancel via website

  1. 1Go to disneyplus.com and sign in
  2. 2Click your profile icon in the top right
  3. 3Select Account
  4. 4Under Subscription, click Cancel Subscription
  5. 5Follow the prompts to confirm cancellation
  6. 6You will receive a confirmation email

If you subscribed via mobile

If you subscribed via Apple: Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions > Disney+ > Cancel. If via Google Play: Google Play Store > Subscriptions > Disney+ > Cancel.

Refund Policy

Disney+ does not offer refunds for the current billing period but you retain access until the period ends.

Apple TV+

  1. 1On iPhone: Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions
  2. 2Tap Apple TV+
  3. 3Tap Cancel Subscription
  4. 4Confirm cancellation
  5. 5You will receive a confirmation email from Apple

If you subscribed via mobile

On Mac: Apple menu > System Settings > [Your Name] > Subscriptions > Apple TV+ > Cancel. On Apple TV device: Settings > Users and Accounts > Subscriptions.

Refund Policy

Apple issues refunds for recent charges on request via reportaproblem.apple.com if cancellation was intended before billing.

Hulu

If you subscribed via mobile

If you subscribed via your mobile device's app store, you must cancel through the app store, not the Hulu website.

Refund Policy

Hulu does not offer refunds but you keep access until the billing period ends. They sometimes offer pause options as an alternative to cancellation.

Max (HBO Max)

If you subscribed via mobile

Max subscriptions through Apple or Google must be cancelled through those stores directly. Check where you originally subscribed.

Max does not provide refunds for partial months but access continues until the billing period ends.

Paramount+

If you subscribed via mobile

If subscribed through Amazon Prime Video Channels, cancel through Amazon. If through Apple or Google, cancel through those stores.

Paramount+ does not offer refunds but access continues to the end of the billing period.

Amazon Prime Video

  2. 2Hover over Account and Lists at the top
  3. 3Click Manage Prime Membership
  4. 4Click End Membership on the left side
  5. 5Choose to end immediately or at renewal date

If you subscribed via mobile

On the Amazon app: tap the person icon > Your Account > Manage Prime > End Membership.

Refund Policy

Amazon offers a full refund if you cancel within 3 days of being charged and have not streamed any content. Partial refunds are available after that on request.

Peacock
